Tobias Harris will visit these schools in order: UT, Kentucky, Louisville, West Virginia, Georgia Tech and Maryland.

Via all-knowing NYC basketball source, Zags. Maryland gets the last visit! That's either really good (we get the last chance to make an impression) or really bad (he might've already decided before the visit). I'll go with the former for now.

Harris is down to seven schools and Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky and Syracuse have made the cut. If I had to pick the front-runners in this one, it would be Syracuse, Maryland, Georgia Tech and West Virginia (and in that order) going into October.

Justin Young, a somewhat highly respected independent scout, on Tobias Harris' list. Gotta like second place.

My final 7 schools are Maryland, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky & Syracuse .. In no type of order.

Tobias Harris. Maryland on the list. UCONN not. Gary 1, Calhoun 0. Seven isn't much of a cut, but I have a feeling they'll make a decision somewhat quickly.

"We as a family, if we feel extremely comfortable with a particular school, after the home visits we may make a a decision. "We already know all the schools." ... "Bruce Pearl [of] Tennessee, he works with point forwards, Bobby Huggins works with point forwards. Maryland worked with Walt Williams. Paul Hewitt, everybody's got something." He added: "It's going to come down to what school is going to be honest about letting Tobias be a point forward. Don't be surprised if a decision may be made after the home visits."

Via Zags. This is very positive for a number of reasons. First, if he's deciding after in-homes, that means he won't take any OVs. That means the last school he visited was Maryland, and that can only be a good thing. Second, it's good he realizes that Maryland has a history of the point forward with Walt Williams, and I'm kind of shocked that his Maryland basketball history is that good. Third, if he wants to play point forward, that would allow Terrell Stoglin to play off the ball at times. I have no doubts about Stog's ability to be a lead guard, but he seems to be a combo guard at heart. He could benefit from being allowed to play off the ball at times.

Tobias Harris' Twitter..again. Surprised he's still in town. Completely pysched, but surprised. You gotta think there's some real interest here, no? [Thanks Kenneth]

"[The visit went well], I had a good time and enjoyed the visit," says the 6′7″ rising senior [Tobias Harris]. The two brothers enjoyed the visit very much and had a chance to sit and talk with Terrapins head coach Gary Williams. Coach Williams discussed how [Maryland] is a great school for Tobias and that he will fit into the school and team according to Tyler [Harris] via text message. "[My conversation with Coach William] was good and he seems like a good straight-forward coach," says Tobias, the #1 ranked player on GothamHoops.com class of 2010 rankings.

Down visting my bro ... Going up to visit University of Maryland now

Tobias Harris of Dix Hills (N.Y.) Half Hollow Hills West added 20 point. The duo [Harris with Doron Lamb] were named Co-MVPs for Skip. ... Roscoe Smith of Oak Hill added 22 points ... and C.J. Leslie tallied 15. Leslie added 11 rebounds.

Via Zags Good games from most Terp prospects at Elite 24, which did take place after a two-hour rain delay. No word on Terrance Ross, though.

Torrel Harris, Tobias’ father, says the family will probably host a series of in-home visits before cutting its list down to five. "We’re trying to figure it out," he said. "It’s an extremely tough choice. We will probably do home visits first and then after the home visits cut the list down." Harris has a list of about a dozen schools, including Kentucky, which he visited before playing in the Nike Global Challenge in Oregon.

Zagsblog. Well, that settles that question. Shame.

C.J. Leslie is still open in his recruitment, but he did provide some insight into his recruiting. Kentucky, North Carolina, Florida, Maryland and Connecticut are the five schools recruiting him the hardest, and two of them stand out to him. [Those are UNC and UK, FWIW] ... Tobias Harris said his visit to Kentucky went well and that the Wildcats are firmly on his list. He will officially visit Tennessee on September 12, and he also named Connecticut, Syracuse, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Louisville and Notre Dame as schools he is considering.

Via Rivals. It's good to hear we're still going hard after Leslie; even though he's a UNC/UK lean, you never know what can happen. On Harris, that just reinforces what I've heard lately: that we're a legitimate contender. I am wondering what happened to the other five schools on his list, though.
