Tune in to WBAL Radio at 7:30 Tonight to Hear Dave Talk Terps Football Recruiting with Brett Hollander

I'll be doing a 5-10 minute segment with Brett Hollander tonight on WBAL radio to discuss Terps football recruiting, around 7:30. If you're in the Baltimore area and can tune into 1090 AM, please do. If you live outside of Baltimore, you can click on the link above and then click on the "listen live" button to tune in. Even if you can't tune in tonight, I'd encourage you to listen to Brett whenever you can. He's on weeknights from 6:00-9:00 PM and right now the Orioles take up a lot of his time, but during basketball and football season, he does a great job talking Terps sports.

Titus Till Upgraded to 4 Star Territory

It figures that the day I post the commit breakdown, Rivals updates their rankings. If only I had waited 10 hours.... Anyway, good news, everyone! Maryland landed their first four star commit of 2010, and we didn't even get a commit today. Yep, Titus Till is now a four star on Rivals. Everyone can exhale now, we have a four star commit.

Javarie Johnson Picks Miami

FWIW, that link is premium for Scout. I don't have premium Scout, but I do have ridiculous Google News searching abilities. And lo and behold... "... Javarie Johnson (OLB) (6-3, 210, Washington (DC) Dunbar, Scout.com's #282 Jr.) Sam Webb talked to him ... it's over - he has picked Miami. *Miami is his ..." That's all Google gives us, but it's plenty. Johnson has supposedly been favoring Miami for awhile anyway. This is another tough blow for football recruiting. Johnson was a longshot, but we need a DeOnte Arnett type player to commit, and soon. Johnson definitely would've been that guy.

Terp Target Tamakloe Commits to Wisconsin

Yet another in-state recruit going elsewhere. This isn't that big, because we have another safety already and a lot of other good targets, but Ralph and (especially) James Franklin need to hurry it up and land some studs. We're getting close to critical mass here (just kidding...maybe).

Second 2010 Commitment: Sean Fitzpatrick

Good start - he's a big, blocking-oriented tight end with decent hands. He may move to OT if he gains some more weight. Sorry, the link above is of the premium variety.
