IMS, bringing the free sample hard. Sterling Gibbs, a 2011 PG from Scotch Plains, NJ, is apparently closing in on a decision, and Maryland could be it. He's looking to cut down his list at the end of the year, and UMD is one of his favorites. He had plenty of kind words for the Terps in the article.
I'd be pretty darn happy with Gibbs. He'd be a natural ballhandler and is remiscient of Adrian Bowie with a higher ceiling and better jumper. His brother, Ashton, is a starter for Pitt, and a pretty great player. He's not ranked too highly at the moment, but he made the USA U16 team and has been playing up in AAU - I wouldn't be surprised if he saw a jump up the rankings by next summer.
