It's a "soft commit" dependent on his SAT scores. Interesting. Probably a result of Don Brown's Massachusetts connects. Wonder if that was in reaction to Tony Grimes. Still waiting on Brandon Coleman and Bjoern Werner.
Must-read here from Bracken. Extremely, extremely encouraging stuff.
That kind of sucks. Would've been a great addition to the secondary, fit Brown's defense perfectly. Brandon Coleman, Bjoern Werner, or bust.
Between Ifill and these two, it was a pretty crappy football recruiting day. Time to get Brandon Coleman.
Two stars by ESPN, three stars on Scout and Rivals. Dude is huge, but there are still some questions I have about this that I'll delve into later tonight.
Moore's taking up another spot here, and will likely leave space for just one or two more scholarships (Brandon Coleman and Lou Young, ideally). He's part of a ridiculous Wise defense this year and the teammate of Terp commit Titus Till. I don't know how good he is (Rivals has him as a 2 star, ESPN doesn't have him ranked, and New Mexico was his only other offer) but I'll look into it and have a full post soon, maybe tonight.
Awesome read on future Terp and Bosnian refugee Nermin Delic from The Worldwide Leader. Not much about his game in there, but a must-read regardless.
I worked on this over the week - a map of all of Maryland's commits (red pins) and offers/targets (yellow pins) on a nice, easy to see Google Map. The results aren't shocking (Maryland recruits most of its players in the DC-Baltimore corrider? Gasp!) but it's good to have anyway. There were actually a few head-scratchers (do the Terps normally recruit three players from Pittsburgh? what about the rectangle at 35th and 33rd parallel, in which there are five prospects?), so not all is lost. I'll update it as there are new commits and new targets. It's also in the Football Commitment List Breakdown.
If Coxson, a Baltimore WR, opens it back up from his Penn State commitment, the Terps could be a big player. He's not fully decommitted, but will take all of his officials, one of which will be to Maryland. He'd be a huge pickup.
