ESPN ranks FSU Basketball recruiting class Number 12 in nation (insider-only)

I thought I'd post this for basketball signing day. Only Four Recruits, but all of them get ranked 94-95 by the ESPN scouts. Freshman PF Okaro White (ESPN top 40) Freshman SG Ian MIller (ESPN top 40) Air Force staff sergeant PF Bernard James Juco xfer Junior C Jon Kreft ESPN didn't rank James or Kreft b/c they were transfers, but the scouting grades were 94 and 95 respectively. On paper it looks like a good class - especially with very little leaving (Goodbye and Good luck, Ryan Reid)

Lance Stephenson says he’s already chosen his college, and at this point all signs indicate he’ll end up at Kansas. Based on numerous interviews, Stephenson’s comments in recent days and the history of his recruitment, it’s a safe bet that he ends up in a Jayhawk uniform next season. Lance says it was between Kansas, Maryland and St. John’s, but several sources said Maryland is not in the picture and one source very close to the decision-making process said Kansas is a heavy favorite.

North Montgomery falls in regional title game

D.J. Byrd goes for 26 in a losing effort as North Montgomery is eliminated. He had 34 in the morning win over New Palestine, giving him 60 points in two games. Folks, I have seen him play in person. We're getting a good one. He screams "Purdue-style player"

Franklin Central Tops Lawrence North

Patrick Bade was mighty impressive last night with 25. Franklin Central avenged a 14 point loss to the Wildcats in January. It's the first ever regional title for Franklin Central, who will now play undefeated #1 Bloomington South in the semi-state. Bloomington South, led by IU recruit Jordan Hulls, beat the Flashes 77-45 during the season. Fellow incoming recruit Jeff Robinson was held scoreless.
