Three-star Tennessee small forward Micah Thomas is officially a Maryland Terrapin, as he signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, per a university release. Thomas is the Maryland men's basketball team's third official commit in the class, along with Anthony Cowan and Kevin Huerter. He verbally committed in mid-March.

The 6'7 three-star forward looks to have plenty of playing time in store as the team will lose both of its starting forwards, Jake Layman and Robert Carter Jr., to the NBA Draft.
"We are excited to welcome Micah to the University of Maryland basketball program," coach Mark Turgeon said in the release. "Micah is an athletic wing player who has been successful playing at a high level in high school and in AAU. He is a good shooter, athletic rebounder, and can defend multiple positions."
Thomas is the No. 2 player in Tennessee and the No. 35 small forward in the class of 2016, according to the 247Sports Composite.
His 7'1 wingspan is just one of the many tools that show that Thomas can develop into a talented player on both ends of the court. Testudo Times took a look at what he may become when he reaches his full potential.
The Terps currently hold the No. 19 class in the nation, according to 247Sports.
