Five-star defensive end Joshua Kaindoh is rightfully the most-hyped recruit in Maryland football's class of 2017, but four-star quarterback commit Kasim Hill could end up being almost just as important for the Terps. After a 2015 season filled with turnovers, fans will be delighted to see that help is on the way at quarterback.
SB Nation football recruiting analyst Bud Elliot was able to tape Hill operating at the 7-on-7 national championship at IMG Academy in Florida (Kaindoh's high school). Hill really does make all the throws here: he's completing passes to receivers running intermediate and short routes, and hit one receiver for a long touchdown. Sure, it might be easier to look good at a 7-on-7 drill than it will against a college defense, but for a Maryland team that sorely lacked production through the air in 2015, this certainly looks promising.
Hill is the No. 13 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2017 and the No. 1 player in D.C., according to the 247Sports Composite. Hill played his first three high school seasons at the Gilman School in Baltimore, but will play his senior year at St. John's College High School with fellow Maryland commit Cam Spence, who's transferring from IMG.
