Maryland basketball will have quite a presence at May's NBA Draft Combine, as Melo Trimble, Diamond Stone, Jake Layman and Robert Carter Jr. have all been invited, ESPN's Jeff Goodman reported Saturday. Testudo Times can confirm Trimble's invite.
The combine will take place in Chicago from May 11-15. Rasheed Sulaimon is the only other Maryland player eligible for the draft, but there have been no reports of him getting an invite to the combine.
Layman and Sulaimon both exhausted their eligibility this season, while Stone and Carter have both hired agents, making them ineligible to return to school. Trimble declared for the draft but did not hire an agent. He has until May 25 to decide whether or not he will return to Maryland for his junior season.
DraftExpress projects Stone to be drafted at No. 22, Trimble at No. 36, Layman at No. 45 and Carter at No. 51.
The 2016 NBA Draft will take place June 23 at the Barclays Center in New York.
