Stefon Diggs Takes To Twitter, Wants Players Who Have "Heart to Say We Going Build a Legacy"

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Remember when Stefon Diggs made those off-color remarks about Jeremy Lin and then shut down his Twitter account? Let's be happy that didn't last, or else we wouldn't have more Diggs-fueled awesomeness to love. Earlier tonight, Diggs had a random mini-rant, and you have to love what he said:

Looks like Stefon is pretty serious about the whole "build a local legacy" thing. And I love it. Preach on, Stefon. Preach. Are you listening, Yannick Ngakoue?

Hopefully he's in people's ears about this type of thing. Doing it publicly helps, too - all these guys follow each other, after all. But doing it privately is a bonus. He has the charisma and star power to pull it off, and for people to actually want to follow in his footsteps - especially if his star keeps rising at the rate it is now. Some have worried about a potential backfire on this type of sales point, because kids want to be seen as independent trendsetters instead of guys who just follow in other peoples' footsteps. (See Brown, Wes.) But I don't buy that, by and large; kids always say they're unique and want to be their own man, and then they all commit to Alabama and Kentucky. It's all bluster.

Oh, one more thing: by the time Diggs is a junior, he's going to give some craaaaaaaaazzy motivational pre-game speeches.
