Crabs and Old Bay - That's Maryland Pride

One of our readers, DrWoody, shared an awesome picture with us showing the crabs his son caught on the South River last weekend, freshly steams and surrounded by cans of Old Bay and a giant Maryland banner. It is, in a word, awesome.

Maryland- Georgetown renewing rivalry in 2015-2016 season?

Check out this interview of John Thompson III, who sat down with ESPN's Andy Katz and talked about future scheduling for the Hoyas. In the video, Thompson mentions that it looks likely that the Terps and Hoyas will play each other as part of the inaugural Gavitt Games. h/t to Michael Bohlin from 247sports for picking up on this.

Hello xfinity Center

Looks like the signage on what was formally the Comcast Center has changed. A new xfinity Center sign is now up and it looks like additional ones will be coming where former Comcast ones once were. I would suggest opening the picture in a new tab to see the full thing. Thanks to @TheFrenchyze for the picture.

Offensive lineman Sean Christie likely out for the year

Via Roman Stubbs of the Post, it appears lineman Sean Christie will be out for the year after having surgery on a torn knee ligament. Christie would have most likely redshirted anyway, so in that regard it won't really hurt Maryland on the field this year, but it does mean he won't gain valuable experience and reps on the practice squad this season, which obviously would have been helpful heading into 2015.

Nigel King transferring to Kansas

Former Maryland wide receiver Nigel King appears to be headed to Kansas. It seems he'll take advantage of the graduate transfer and be eligible to play immediately.

Proud to be apart of this program!! Big year ahead.. Let's get it!! #RockChalk

XFINITY Center signs already up

When Maryland announced on Monday that the Comcast Center would be renamed the XFINITY Center, effective immediately, they weren't kidding. Signs are already changed around campus and on local interstates and those changes were made on Tuesday, if not earlier. Photo credit Zara Simpson, who we again thank for letting us use the picture she took of the sign on Tuesday

Rep your Maryland Pride even if your from or moved to a different state!

Go to They have men's and women's tshirts for every state. I have no connection to this just saw it and thought it was cool. Got the New York one for myself and also the North Carolina and Georgia ones for my friends who now live down there. Just thought I'd share.
