Three Terps, Two Maryland Commits Selected in MLB Draft

Cliff Tucker Won't Be on the Football Team Next Year

And the Saga ends with a whimper, not a bang. It's a shame, I really wanted to see Tucker in pads. His size was legitimately elite and given that Maryland has no proven stars at WR, he had a chance to see PT. Oh well. Time to move on.

Navy Still After John Tillman

We all thought this brief pursuit by Navy to try to lure John Tillman away from Maryland and return to the school where he'd previously coached as an assistant for years was over. Not so says the Baltimore Sun. Alledgely, Navy hadn't contacted Tillman as of last week, but reached out to Maryland recently as a courtasy to say they were planning to do so. I just can't see Tillman leaving because 1. Maryland Lacrosse >>> Navy Lacrosse and 2. Tillman's buy-out, according to the Sun, is around $500,000. That's a lot of $$$ to shell out for a lacrosse coach, especially for Navy. I doubt anything will happen, but we'll be keeping an eye on it...

2013 Big Man Kennedy Meeks Has Maryland, Georgetown as Favorites

h/t to Casual Hoya. Meeks is 6-8 and 250 and hails from Charlotte, N.C. He's a four-star on all three major services: #28 on ESPN and Scout, #41 on Rivals. Just add him to the list of "great 2013 prospects." The Harrisons, BeeJay Anya, and Nate Britt are already on it, as are Aquille Carr, Daequan McNeil, and Kameron Williams. Meeks has great size, but falls behind Anya and probably Britt in terms of desirability. Maryland has to have at least three or four schollies for that class. Too much talent.
