Interesting Findings:
Maryland compares very favorably to the other big 10 schools. Maryland has by far the highest reported admission GPA but that may be skewed by how Maryland schools weight honors and AP classes.
Northwestern is an obvious outlier.
Minnesota surprised me how high their SAT scores and that they rank 9th in household income.
Kind of depressing how poor the rest of the big 10 states are compared nationally. Maryland and New Jersey are 1 and 2 in household income.
The only other Big 10 state above the national average in income is Illinois.
Concerning for the long term future of the conference. Maryland joined the Big 10 for the added revenue but its obvious the Big 10 needs to expand out of its hollowed out base.
