MJ Jarrell, a three-star class of 2017 receiver from Florida, committed on Thursday to the Maryland football program, he announced on Twitter. Jarrell is the 10th verbal pledge in Maryland's class and its third receiver.

Jarrell is rated on the 247Sports Composite as the No. 189 receiver in the country and the No. 220 player in Florida. With the exception of IMG Academy transplants Joshua Kaindoh and Cam Spence, Jarrell is the first Florida prospect to join Maryland's class. The other two receivers in the class -- Carlos Carriere and Sean Nelson -- are from nearby Georgia.
Jarrell's commitment bumps Maryland to No. 11 on 247's national recruiting ranking, and it continues to push Maryland toward having its best recruiting class of all time.
He had a long list of offers, including several Power 5 adversaries of Maryland's. Jarrell picked Maryland over Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Duke, North Carolina State and others.
He'll play his senior season this year at Timber Creek.
