Wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell has been working admirably to develop a recruiting pipeline in the state of Texas. Not only have the Terps been recruiting standout Texans, but they have done a good job at identifying talent before some of the top programs in the country. Maryland was the first offer for junior-to-be wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon, but after multiple visits to Waco, Texas, the Baylor Bears were too much to pass up. Ausbon committed shortly after fellow 2017 wide receiver Hezekiah Jones --who also held a Maryland offer --committed to the Bears. The latest Texan the Terps could stand a chance with is Evan Fairs.
