Michigan Live has an article titled "10 predictions for Michigan State's 2014 football season". Prediction #6 is that they suffer an upset on the road with Maryland listed as one of the prime candidates. They write:
"Michigan State is not going to go undefeated, and while I expect the Spartans to take care of business in the biggest games - Oregon and Ohio State - there are three losable road games: at Indiana, at Maryland and at Penn State. Maybe it will be a case of bad weather, bad calls, bad breaks, but somehow one of these games will be a loss"
The article continues by listing "the Terrapins have a deep and talented receiving corps" as the reason why the Spartans should be wary of the Terrapins. Granted this is written before Game #1 has been played this season for either team, but it is nice to think the fans at Michigan State are thinking in terms of a red flag when Maryland comes to mind.
