Who Will Be the First to Commit?

Melo Trimble committed to UMD on December 13, 2012, long before he would arrive in College Park as a freshman. That was exceptionally early for the 2014 class. Now, 18 months later, we're still waiting for our first commitment for the Class of 2015.

Since Melo committed as the PG of the future, we've added a SG (Dion Wiley), a SF (Jared Nickens), two PFs (Michal Cekovsky and transfer Robert Carter), and a C (Trayvon Reed). The position of greatest need is another PG to back-up Melo. But I've been wondering: Who will be our first commitment for the 2015 class?

IMS claims Esa Ahmad is close to making a decision, but he appears to be an OSU lean, and as a PF, doesn't really play a position of need for the 2015 class. As for point guards, we're looking at Bryant Crawford, Justin Robinson, Kevin Dorsey, Noah Blackwell, Malik Ellison and a few others; but I can't imagine playing behind Melo being a particularly enticing situation.

So, that begs the qustions: 1) Who will be the first to commit; 2) What would be our best - and most realistic option - at PG; and 3) How many players will we take in the 2015 class? By my count, we'll have five scholarships available, but I doubt we'll use all of them.
