Since we all know the ACC has been the better basketball conference

I decided to check out how the B1G has fared against the ACC in terms of number of teams in the tourney at each round dating back to 2010.

Only 1 title between the two (dook, though Wisco still has a chance this year) but amazingly that dook team was also the last time the ACC got someone into the Final 4, I had to look at that a few times to convince myself that's accurate. By comparison, the B1G has had 4. Out of 20 teams since 2010 that comes to 5% ACC and 20% B1G. Maybe ratface is just jealous.

R64 R32 S16 E8 F4 Final Champ
2014 B1G 5 3 3 3 1
ACC 6 4 1 0 0 0 0
2013 B1G 7 6 4 2 1 1 0
ACC 4 3 2 1 0 0 0
2012 B1G 6 5 4 1 1 0 0
ACC 5 3 2 1 0 0 0
2011 B1G 7 5 2 0 0 0 0
ACC 4 3 3 1 0 0 0
2010 B1G 5 4 3 1 1 0 0
ACC 6 4 1 1 1 1 1
Totals B1G 30 23 16 7 4 1 0
ACC 25 17 9 4 1 1 1

Then I decided to get a look at the winning percentage of each round per school... simply the number that are in the next round divided by the number of the current round.

R64 R32 S16 E8 F4 Final
2014 B1G 60% 100% 100% 33%
ACC 67% 25% 0% - - -
2013 B1G 86% 67% 50% 50% 100% 0%
ACC 75% 67% 50% 0% - -
2012 B1G 83% 80% 25% 100% 0% -
ACC 60% 67% 50% 0% - -
2011 B1G 71% 40% 0% - - -
ACC 75% 100% 33% 0% - -
2010 B1G 80% 75% 33% 100% 0% -
ACC 67% 25% 100% 100% 100% 100%
Totals B1G 77% 70% 44% 57% 25% 0%
ACC 68% 53% 44% 25% 100% 100%

Again, a bit surprising. The ACC has a winning record of only 68% in the first round and 53% if they make it to the R32. That makes for a S16 rate of 36% to go along with the 5% F4 rate. Same on the B1G at 77% and 70% yields a much better 53% rate S16 rate.
