Baltimore product makes his commitment official.

Maryland has officially added Nnamdi Egbuaba to the class of 2014 with his signing Wednesday. The 6'1", 215 pound outside linebacker from St. Francis Academy in Baltimore is the final player to sign his intentions to play college football for the Terps.

According to 247Sports, Egbuaba is a three-star recruit and the 35th best prospect in the state of Maryland from the 2014 class.  The website also ranks his lateral movement as his best attribute, ranking him a seven out of ten in the category. In addition, 247Sports gave Egbuaba a six out of ten in tackling, athleticism and instincts.

Egbuaba had a few other schools to decide from aside from Maryland. In choosing the Terps, the linebacker turned down Virginia and Connecticut. Additionally, Egbuaba was recruiting by Arizona and Duke, but was never offered a scholarship.

Pete Volk, Testudo Times managing editor: Egbuaba was a nice late pick-up for Maryland (along the lines of Daniel Ezeagwu and Antwaine Carter, Jr.), picking up a local kid with good potential who can contribute on the defensive end. He's likely to slot in at the SAM position, and could be a complete linebacker in just a few years.
