I watched the Wizards Raptors triple OT game last night, admittedly first Wizards game I've watched in about 7 years, but they're the only thing we have going right in this town right now. Anyway, Greivis WENT OFF with 26 points and 8 assists and was really one of the two players that kept the Raptors going through the 4th quarter and all 3 overtimes. In a game where Greivis Vasquez, Tyler Hansbrough, Trevor Booker and Chris Singleton were all on the court, it was great to see that the General was clearly the best NBA player out of all these former ACC stars.
What's even better is that he's doing it the same way he always did while he was here, he's not afraid to nail a floater over a double team or sink a three-pointer while leading a fast break over much superior athletes in triple OT. In a time where much is going wrong with our basketball program, its great to get a reminder of some good times and to see him have success on this level.
