Once again the BIG teams got their perverbial butts handed to them in the bowl games. The BIG record was 2-5 including 0-2 vs the ACC. If you add the Terps and Rutgers to the mix the BIG record swells to 2-7. The BIG has an awful record in bowl games recently. I get tired of seeing the doomsday posts about how difficult it will be for us to compete in the BIG next year because of a dramatic increase in competition level We did not compete well in the ACC the past few years. If we do not compete well in the BIG next year, it will be for the sames reasons that our ACC record was very marginal - injuries, talent deficit, coaching, and recruiting. I firmly believe that we can compete in the BIG, especially if we can avoid some of the devastating injuries like we have experienced the last two years. The BIG is a much better basketball conference than it is in football. Of course, this is just my opinion, but there are some facts available that could support my view. Am I offbase here?
