So I want you to pretend you are Kevin Anderson, and you have to meet with Mark Turgeon as you do over the normal course of business to discuss some serious issues. Ticket sales to Comcast are declining. Not just the season tickets, the single game and three game ticket sales have tanked. Interest in the program is waning and the final ACC season is just beginning. There is no firing (or for that matter, any disciplinary actions) that can be taken. the contract is guaranteed for 8 years and only 2.5 years have elapsed. Clearly, Turgeon is frustrated as well.
What would you say to him to help get him and the team back on track?
Any words you want to say, you can cloak with the "Feedback from the boosters" excuse.....effectively you can bring up any topic using the "booster feedback" as the impetus.
Would you include any of the ACs in the meeting? Maybe the points might be missed OR ignored by MT, but internalized/retained by the ACs.
As part of your response, state whether you believe the team has enough talent to win in the ACC. Would you vet your thoughts with Gary first?
I know this is completely hypothetical, but EVERYONE needs coaching or managing....even the CEO or the POTUS.
So assume you are a person MT has to pay attention to, how would you provide feedback that would be constructive and perhaps help the team?
