Highlights from Maryland's 43-10 romp over FIU

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

For those of you who were unable to watch Saturday's game, or for those of you who just want to relive the glory of Maryland's blowout opening win, here is a highlights video, via UMTerps.

Of note:

  • You can now see exactly how close each of Brad Craddock's attempts were!
  • An extra-close look at the forced fumble on the ensuing kick-off. Abner Logan had the grab from behind, but Alex Twine absolutely leveled the returner to force out the ball.
  • I could watch that pitch to Stefon Diggs over and over again. C.J. Brown was literally falling to the ground as it happened.
  • In other news, Brown is just way faster than FIU's defense. And stronger. Just generally better.
  • That one-handed Diggs grab.
  • I still have no idea how Diggs managed to keep his knees off the ground on that TD pass.
  • You can see how the option pitch paid off later - the defensive back couldn't commit to Brown on that last TD run, allowing him to score.
