Our QB Future

Looking forward, what will our quarterback situation look like in two years? Leading up to the 2015 season, who will be battling for the starting role? Assuming no serious injuries, C.J. Brown and Ricardo Young will be gone, leaving - as it stands now - Caleb Rowe, Shane Cockerille, Will Ulmer and Perry Hills on the roster.

First, with Perry Hills fourth on the current depth chart, I see the coaching staff looking for another spot for him. He's too much of a "gamer" to let him wither on the bench. I don't know if he's a fit for a defensive back, running back, receiver, or somewhere else; but give credit to him, he has grit. Hopefully he won't choose to go elsewhere; he seems like the kind of player we could use on the field.

If I were Edsall (I'd probably drink more than I do now, but that's another story), I'd plan on having Young back-up Brown this year, and play Rowe only if absolutely necessary.

I expect Cockerille - and hopefully Rowe - will redshirt this year, and Ulmer will redshirt in 2014. So, in 2015, the QB job will, IMO, be a battle between Rowe (a RS junior), Cockerille (a RS sophomore), and Ulmer (a RS freshman).

That's what makes the most sense to me, but there are plenty of other possibilities. What do you see our QB situation looking like on opening day in two years.
