Maryland's men's basketball schedule for the upcoming season was released minutes ago, offering the full slate of dates and almost every tip-off time for the school's final year in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Conference play begins early, as Maryland will travel to Chestnut Hill to face Boston College on Dec. 12, followed by a three-week layoff of non-conference games before the Terps resume ACC play in full. The Terps will host ACC newcomers Pitt and Syracuse on Jan. 25 and Feb. 24, the latter an ESPN Big Monday contest. Last year's ACC regular season champion, Miami, comes to town on Jan. 29.
The Terps, as we already knew, will begin their regular season with a Nov. 8 return to the Barclays Center, where they fell narrowly to Kentucky a year ago. They'll play an exhibition game at Comcast Center five days earlier against Catholic.
Oregon State will visit Comcast on Nov. 17, which is potentially interesting because the Beavers are coached by President Obama's brother-in-law, Craig Robinson. Given College Park's proximity to the White House, it seems possible that the First Family will be paying a visit to campus that day, a Sunday, though that is pure speculation. The start time for that game -- and a small handful of others, most in December -- has not yet been announced.
Every conference game on the schedule is set to be televised on either an ESPN channel, the ACC Network, RSN or CBS. The Terrapins will also be on TV when they meet UConn, Oregon State and, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Ohio State.
