Former Terp Baseball Player Makes AL All-Star Team

Brett Cecil (Maryland '07), left handed set-up man for the Blue Jays made the 2013 AL All-Star squad. It's been an amazing season for Brett, who at one point had retired 43 straight hitters without giving up a hit. Also, he had pitched something like 20 straight scoreless innings. What's amazing is that Brett had had serious arm problems in the past and had to undergo arm strength training in the not so distant past. A Terp in baseball's All-Star game. It would be so cool if he was the set-up man for Mariano Rivera for an AL win.
