The recent discussion about the 2015 Mock Draft made me wonder which current Maryland basketball player has the best chance of having a long-term NBA career.
Granted the 2015 NBA draft is two years away, and too many things can happen - positively and negatively - to expect a high degree of accuracy. The answer to the question might be 10 years or more away, but I thought it would be fun to speculate.
To clarify, this is not about who will be the first to turn pro, but which current player is most likely to have the longest NBA career.
For me, it's Jake. He still needs to become more consistent with his shot, needs to improve defensively, and will need to add another 20 pounds of muscle, or so. But, in my opinion, he has the length and athleticism to be a pretty effective small forward in the NBA.
Since we have yet to see Roddy Peters or Damonte Dodd play, they're not included in the poll.
