Wiley moves down 4 spots to 26 (now a consensus 4 star)
Romelo Trimble checks in at 45
Goodluck Okonboh (19 and a five star - I don't think we have a shot)
Abdul Malik Abu at 44
Phil Booth dropped to 81 (looks like Trimble was in fact better all along)
Pascal Chukwu is at 58 although ESPN doesn't list our offer for some reason.
Travyon Reed at 84
Terry Larrier checks in at 59
Jared Nickens is still listed as a 2 star but that will change even if he never cracks the top 100
Obi Enechionyia dropped out of the top 100 (I think he was around 60) but is still a 4 Star
Chinanu Onuaku is a 3 star
I try not be a slave to the rankings but it's pretty sweet that we have two top 50 guys in the fold before the AAU season really takes off this summer (not to mention all of the good news about making inroads with local recruits and the two best AAU programs around the area). I mean - it's a really good pitch on the circuit to tell a couple big guys to join the pack with 2 excellent guards. Additionally, while it is still SUPER early, it's cool to see Maryland (as a class) ranked #3 in the nation for 2014. Speculation seems to suggest we really want Nickens but I am not sure why we would want him with so many other more highly touted prospects around. Again, there is always a Juan Dixon waiting to be uncovered, but as we've said so many times on this site, the rankings are indicative of something, and have proven to be fairly accurate more often than not. The more 4/5 star guys we sign, the better the chance we have with getting back to the consistent top 15 program that we all know and love with shot at an NCAA championship every few years. For what its worth, I am incredibly impressed with the 2014 haul and if we can pick up a couple more pieces, this could be the class that will be remembered for bringing us back.
Who do people want to see committ? Anyone know who we have the best shot with?
