The now #7 ranked Maryland Terrapins (yikes! That's the highest # on the keyboard I've typed all year for this group) close out the regular season at home, at Byrd, on Senior Day vs Colgate. The Terrapins have been in a major free fall lately losing to Johns Hopkins 8-4, scraping by Yale 8-7, then taking a pounding from a likely to miss the tournament Virginia team 13-5 in the Semi Finals of the ACC Tournament. This has resulted in the Terps slipping from #1 in the country and Top 3 in RPI to #7 in the country and also out of the Top 5 in RPI. The Terps need momentum, they need to get their extremely static offensive going, and they need a win against a dangerous Colgate team with last year's Tewaarton trophy winner Peter Baum. The Terps though got some luck this past week and probably could rise into a Top 5 seed, maybe higher. Penn State (ahead in RPI), Cornell (ahead in polls and RPI), Notre Dame (ahead in polls and RPI), and Loyola (ahead in polls and RPI) all lost this week/weekend. So plenty of chances for the Terps to move up before tomorrow night's NCAA selection show. Back to the game. Noon, at Byrd, and you can catch it on the Maryland Terrapins All Access at UMTerps.com IF you are subscribed. You do have to pay. If not, follow the gametracker. Time to make a run again and hopefully take home the title this year. Go Terps!
