Per his Twitter account, we have a development in Eli Carter's transfer decision:
Down to Maryland & Florida!! #Decisions— Eli Carter (@Eli_Carter5) April 26, 2013
With it down to us and the Gators, I think we're in a pretty good position to get him. Both are quality programs, but we have an opening in the back court that I'm sure he's aware of.
The question for me is whether or not we actually need him. We need another guard to make everything work, but I'm not sure another guard that's closer to the 2 is the solution. I would much rather a true point or a sharpshooter to transfer here, especially in combination with a grad-school transfer big man to ease the transition from Len.
That being said, I admittedly wouldn't be complaining if Carter were to land in College Park. We need guards, and if Turgeon thinks he's a good fit, then I'll put my faith in Turgeon.
Where do you think he'll end up? Do you want him to come to Maryland? If he does come, how does this solve/murk the guard situation?
