I met Dwayne Morgan's mom at a bar in Baltimore yesterday during the opening round games. She was really nice and was happy to talk about her son, his recruitment, etc. She also said that she played college ball at Clemson (which I didn't know). Anyways, my buddies and I were joking with her, letting her know that we were big Terps fans and I asked her if we should be expecting good news, etc. She laughed and said that all she knew was that he was down to three schools and that he was announcing on Wednesday. I was joking around with her and I told her that I lived in Vegas for three years after college (which is true) and that UNLV is not really a college town, etc. (Which is also true) - She laughed and kind of agreed.

We were being very polite and kept joking around with her saying..."wouldn't you like to be able to just drive over to his college games, etc.". She laughed. Anyways, she was saying that the recruitment process has been very exhausting and that they are glad it's ending, so Dwayne can focus on his school work for his last year. She was telling me that they had to be very careful because of all of the "snakes" out there, which I thought was funny. After that, we shared each others bracket's and talked about the tourny, etc. She was incredibly nice and was really cool the whole time.

Bad news: She had a Georgetown skull cap in her purse. I saw it and said: "Woah, is that a sign?!" - She laughed and said "no, no..honestly, i bought this hat at a gas station a while ago and it's freezing out, so i just wore it today"

Not sure what to think of that, but it's obviously concerning.

Good news: When she was leaving, we were all saying goodbye and as she was walking out the door, we told her that we hoped to hear some good news on Wednesday. She turned and looked at us said the following: "It's good news" or "me too" - (None of us could tell which one she actually said)

Anyways, thats all I got. Just thought it was a story worth sharing. Go Terps!
