Jesuits are on a roll. Five of the ten universities that will comprise the recently proposed new super BB conference, ie the Big East, are Jesuit run schools--Geogetown, Marquette, Creighton, St Louis and Xavier. Gonzaga University, a Jesuit university, is ranked #1 in college BB and has a legitimate shot at the big prize. Jesuits must have a bent for basketball. Only one of the 28 Jesuit colleges in the US plays Div 1 football--Boston College. And now the latest new fan--the first Jesuit Pope, Francis I.
