Conjecture in Greensboro last weekend was around 2013 possibly being the final appearance for the Terps at an ACC Tournament. The logic went as follows ... with three new schools joining for 2014 (Pitt, S'cuse, and Notre Dame), the numbers are difficult to navigate in structuring brackets. Perhaps as part of the lawsuit settlement, the Terps are asked to stand down from the 2014 ACCT?
With a strong team coming back next year ... would allow for a "no fanfare" departure.
