Preview is here. Game tips at 9:00 on the ACC Network*, with Steve Martin (of "Anthony Bowie" fame) and Mike Gminski (THE G-MAN) on the call. Affiliate listings are here, and are predictably bare-bones; ESPN3 is the only route for those of you not in luck.
Oh, 2014, you can't come too soon.
Random, Baseless Prediction: It's time for a Shaq game. Virginia Tech's interior depth gets stretched, James Jordan tries to keep Cadarian Raines fresh for Alex Len, and the big, bashful Bahamian eats Joey Van Zegeren alive. Possibly literally.
Prediction: Said it in the preview, but Maryland's the better team, they're playing better basketball, they have the better matchups, and now Virginia Tech has their #5 and #6 guys in the rotation - C.J. Barksdale and Marquise Rankin - questionable with the flu. It's a game Maryland should walk.
But it's on the road, and Maryland, being Maryland, will probably still struggle with certain aspects of the game while they figure their identity out. Virginia Tech probably makes a run somewhere, perhaps late in the first half, that keeps it close. But the Terps win it by double-digits, or at least thereabouts.
