Many of us who follow this board have wondered about this for awhile now. I think it is a big problem moving forward into next season. I asked Matt Bracken of the B-more Sun if he had asked Turgeon or anyone on the staff this question. Matt answered back via twitter that The Sun had asked that question of Dustin Clark who is part of Turgeons staff. Matt said when he asked Clark, the answer from Dustin was " it won't come from the JUCO ranks". This answer goes directly against what I heard from several sources just over a month ago.
I find that an interesting answer from Clark on the question. I guess one could take that answer several ways. It could mean they have looked at JUCO players and the staff feels that no one can help. Maybe they had scouted a few during the timeline I mentioned and decided another route. The way Clark answered the question could also mean they have a guy in mind who would be next years Logan Aronhalt? Since he seemed to be pretty matter of fact that it wouldn't be from the JUCO ranks. Or it could mean they are still searching in the high school ranks, maybe a late bloomer?
One thing that I hope it really didn't mean was the staff is happy with what they have and are leaning on Roddy Peters helping next year. I along with plenty others who follow Terp b-ball realize that point guard is this teams glaring weakness. The staff thinking that Seth Allen can progress over the summer to be that guy is troubling for me. If they are thinking Pe'shon can come back and be that guy I have my doubhts on that as well.
Question is this, what does everyone else think Dustin Clark meant?
