This Saturday, our beloved Terps take to the field in Baltimore against the vileness that is Loyola. Each team is ranked #1 on different polls, so it's pretty high stakes.
In May of 2012, the Terps made their second consecutive trip to the national championship game, resulting in their second consecutive loss at the national championship (the first was a two point loss to our southern neighbors, UVA). If you've been following this season thus far, you know we're in a good position to right the wrong from last year. If you haven't here's what you missed:
- Maryland has an extremely deep team this year and the expectations are high. We've destroyed our first two (albeit easy) opponents of the season (Mount Saint Mary's and Hartford) so we've at least met expectations, if not exceeded.
- Loyola is also fielding another strong team this year and will try to get at least 40 shots on goal. Luckily Maryland has one of the best goalies in the country.
When: Saturday, Feb 23rd
Time: 1:30pm
TV: this bad boy will be televised on NBC sports network
