The Argument For Starting Roddy At PG

Granted, we're only one game into the season, but to me, it's obvious we're a better team with Roddy Peters as our primary/starting PG.

I appreciate Dez Wells wanting to assume that responsibility, but is that what's best for the team?

Dez turned the ball over six times in 37 minutes (one every 6.17 minutes) against UConn, and was uncharacteristically ineffective offensively in the first half. Like Nick Faust, Dez is far more effective when he plays off the ball. Roddy committed three TOs in 18 minutes (one every six minutes). Getting Roddy more playing time (at least until Seth Allen returns), means he'll be that much better for the ACC season, which will put less pressure on Seth when he returns from his injury.

Yes, Dez (or Nick) will still have to spend time at the point; and yes, Roddy will make mistakes. But every additional minute Roddy gets is another minute in which we're at our best as a team.
