I haven't posted much this year. I have taken on more roles as teacher/coach and I very rarely have time to really sit down and catch up on the happenings on Testudo Times. Still, I wish each of you and your families the best Thanksgiving yet. As I've gotten older (37 now), I've though about life perspective more and more. Yesterday I was on a bike ride and "Against The Wind" by the great Bob Seger came on my ipod. Funny how a song can make you stop and realize just how much life changes in the blink of an eye. I'm now in my 15th year of living in South Carolina; feels like yesterday I was going to my Uncle's house on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for our annual Thanksgiving feast. Now my annual Thanksgiving consists of going to my wife's grandmother's house with her family. As much as I enjoy being around them and soaking up time with my 4-year-old daughter, I miss my family and I miss Thanksgivings in Maryland. A couple of my students brought me pumpkin pies this past week and it made me miss home even more than I do right now. Although I'm not a graduate of the University of Maryland (Salisbury University is close enough...well, maybe not), I'm proud to be a Terp fan. I don't always agree with some of the opinions of the posters on this board, and being a coach I tend to side with them more than others. That's what makes Testudo Times a fun place. Thanks to everyone for letting me voice my opinions when I get the chance to do so. And a big thanks to the editors for continuing to do a great job day in and day out. Have a great day...and FEAR THE TURTLE!
