Maryland will wear white ops for Florida State

Could the White Ops be returning on Saturday against FSU? - Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Maryland will wear the White Ops version of their Under Armour uniform on Saturday when the Terps travel to Tallahassee to take on Florida State.

Maryland is set to wear their "White Ops" uniform Saturday against Florida State, head coach Randy Edsall told the media Thursday. The uniforms, which debuted last season when Maryland played West Virginia in Morgantown, are an all-white version of the pride uniform. It has also been referred to as the "snow" uniform and "snowtrooper."

A lot of people, including ones outside of the Maryland fan base, actually liked these uniforms, so perhaps Maryland will get some positive attention from the uniforms when they play on Saturday in a nationally televised game on ESPN.

Need a refresher on what the uniforms look like? Here you go, thanks to Maryland Athletics:

The helmet, in my opinion, is the best part of the white ops uniform. It captures the Maryland flag's Calvert and Crossland Banner in a subtle way but not too subtle that you can't see or not know what it is. Definitely one of my favorite versions of the Maryland Pride helmets.

The jersey is clean, crisp and fresh and has the subtle Calvert and Crossland Banner in the number itself, but you can't see or notice it unless you're looking at it up close.

Ditto for the shoes. They're crisp and clean, again using the Calvert and Crossland Banner, but you can only see it in up close pictures like this. Neither are really captured on television or when you're watching the game in person, unless you're only a few feet away.

Of course, this year's version could have subtle changes from the one that debuted last year. We'll have to wait and see. What do you think about the white ops? Love 'em? Hate 'em? Indifferent?
