Coach Bino, man of .......MARYLAND

Don't know if this should be here or not, but feel free to move this wherever.

Last night, after watching the game to the very end, I was walking to back to my vehicle in the parking garage just to the north end of the stadium. After exiting the stadium and crossing into the parking garage I came across a familiar face, not one that I have ever seen in person(or at least up close). While trying to figure out where I knew this face from he was chatting with other fellow followers of the Terps and I overheard him say "I'm coach Bino, from the basketball team!". Instantly I was overtook with excitement and curiosity that not only was a coach of the men's basketball team walking back the same way as I but he was chatting it up and talking with anyone that wanted to take the time. As he ended his brief pep talk with other parishioners of the church of Terp he caught me coming upon him and immediately stuck his hand out and proceeded to give me a handshake and started asking me "Where you from?". As I answered that I was from Western MD he said "I'm from Maryland too, It doesn't matter where you are from the fact is we are all from Maryland!". After what seemed several minutes and after meeting each member of my family that attended last nights game he moved on up the driveway of the parking garage wishing us a safe trip home and asking us to root hard for the teams at Maryland and to come on down and see them next Friday night. As we loaded our vehicle and started to blend into the exiting traffic we caught Bino's eye and he again waved as he was talking to other fans.

I have been to a lot of football games and events other than those at UMD and seldom do you get the opportunity to see those involved with the sports themselves such as I and many others in the North side parking garage did last night. I can tell you this, Maryland will always have a soft spot in my heart and Coach Bino you do Maryland proud!
