I haven't seen a lot of talk about this subject on the website and have kinda wondered why Perry Hills did not even really compete for the job as primary backup to CJB. I finally decided to spark a debate now that Rowe is getting the nod on Saturday. Last season Hills played fairly well for the position he was put into. If you take away his first game against William & Mary, his worst performance and which happened to be against his worst opponent, Hills passed 8TDs and 4INTs with 1191yards in 5 and a half games. He also ran in another 3 scores, thats roughly 200 yards a game for a true freshman. Hills also got all four of our wins.
On the other hand Rowe hasn't done anything memorable besides that drive against NC State. If I remember correctly Rowe struggled to move the chains against a Boston College team picked one of their only two wins on the season, the other being to Maine. This year Rowe hasn't faired any better, besides a few compilations in garbage time against FIU, he just hasn't looked like a starting QB in my opinion.
Being a casual fan I'm just wondering why he isn't getting the nod and who would you rather see behind center come Saturday?
