With scouts from about half of the teams in the NBA on hand at College Park, Maryland's win over Virginia Tech was an opportunity for Alex Len to shine. He finished with 16 points and 9 rebounds in the Terps' relatively easy win. And while he led the team in rebounds, freshmen Jake Layman and Seth Allen were the offensive stars for UMD.
It's been reported the 7-1 Ukrainian is a probable lottery pick in the upcoming NBA draft; some say he could be the #1 selection, while others project him in the top 5. Were the NBA scouts on hand sufficiently impressed? Did his performance against the Hokies help his draft status, or hurt it?
It seemed like a good reason/excuse for a poll, and certainly worthy of comment; along with: Did Layman's performance have the scouts jotting his name down for future reference?
