I cannot express how excited I am for the dook game tomorrow! I have grown up a huge Terp fan but after moving from Baltimore to Knoxville, TN at the age of 4 I have never had the chance to see us play basketball in person. My mom grew up in Greenbelt and went to Maryland along with my uncle who was a frat brother with Larry David. My dad grew up in Knoxville but went to Hopkins and became a diehard Orioles fan and after meeting my mom became a huge Terps fan as well. Before I was old enough to care about sports I remember my mom screaming at the top of her lungs cheering on Joe Smith. Luckily I was just old enough to enjoy the glory years with Francis, Dixon, Blake, Lonny, Mouton, Wilcox and company! And I will certainly never forget the thriller we won against duke in the ACC finals with Gilghrist at the helm. Unfortunately my parents didn't take me to the Natty with them in 2002. Although I'm a senior at the university of Tennessee during the tourney my freshman year I was faced with the reality that Maryland and Tennessee had a very real possibility of playing each other in the elite eight. I easily made up my mind that I was going to root for Vasquez and and the Terps. Sadly some little lucky b**ch from msu hit a 3 which caused hysterical tears and kept that matchup from happening. But anyways tomorrow is my first Maryland basketball game. And after driving with a buddy of mine through extremely treacherous road conditions after an ice storm from the University of Tennessee through the mountains to Durham for the game tomorrow I couldn't be more excited! I like to think of myself as the biggest UMD fan south of the mason Dixon line, and tomorrow I finally get my chance to cheer our boys on in person! I'll be in the middle of the cameron crazies tomorrow reppin the Terps loud and proud! GO TERPS make us proud! M-A-R-Y-L-A-N-D Maryland will win!!!
