Those of you who follow MD Women's Basketball or who read my posts on the subject know that the injury gods struck again on Saturday when up and coming freshman Tierney Pfirman apparently dislocated her knee in practice. Tonight I got word from a reliable source that her MRI was clean. There were no tears and she will not require surgery. The current projection is for a four week rehab which means she could be back in time for the game against Duke at Comcast and could get in 3 or 4 games heading into the ACC Tournament. Obviously it's not going to be easy getting through the next few weeks with such a short (8 player / 7 scholarship) roster but it certainly could have been worse.
