We now have the opportunity to game plan for our upcoming opponents. It is very easy to say they should of, I would of,I wouldn't and they shouldn't of.To not let this turn into a bitch session, lets see what goes into a game plan of an upcoming opponent.Better yet, what do people think goes into a great plan.
Wake offense vs MD defense. Wakes offense starts and stops with Tanner Price qb . His less than 50% completion rate doesn't even register in the Acc's top 10.Without their most dangerous weapon,Wake will rely heavily on Josh Harris 5-11 210 rb who has not had a spectacular year as many thought he would. his 4.3 yard per carry avg. falls right in the hands of Maryland's best aspect of their defense which is their run defense that's ranked 2nd in the ACC behind only FSU. Wait, the Terps pass defense is also ranked 2nd in the ACC behind only FSU. Without Campy,Wake is screwed losing your automatic 1st down machine.
Maryland offense vs Wake defense. Wakes run defense is dead last in the ACC and their pass defense is #6. We are young ,dumb and full of %$& to worry about such things.I truly mean that in a good way!We fear no squad. We respect them all.A heavy dose of the Md running game will be Perry's best friend come Saturday. The combo of Diggs, Furst'ngoal, with the breakout of Dorsey will propel the Terps on offense.
Summary~We will impose our will on defense, giving the offense ample chances with short scoring drives of 60 yards or less. Diggs will get 250 apy. Brown and Reid will be the two who get breakout running games.Perry will use play action on 3rd and manageable to keep time of possession in Maryland's favor. MD 34 Wake 20
