A quick look on the NCAA website reveals the University of Maryland is currently advertising for THREE Assistant/Associate Athletic Directors RIGHT NOW (no other school is looking for more than one that I know of). I haven't been keeping close tabs, but it seems like there has been a great deal of turnover in these positions (and that Maryland has a lot of assistant/associate Athletic Directors.

So . . . what's going on? Are people leaving because they're getting fired? are they getting promoted? leaving for other schools? or has the department significantly expanded the number of administrators as they've cut sports? Since I really don't know, I'm hoping TT folks can fill us in on this.
