I was wondering if anyone else noticed the onscreen graphic during the UConn game regarding Notre Dame's addition to the ACC? One of the points made was the increase in the exit fee for a school leaving the conference. The fee was increased to $50 million effective immediately. It was noted that Florida State and Maryland were the two schools that voted AGAINST the imposition of this higher exit fee. I found this to be very interesting as Maryland, Florida State, and Clemson have been mentioned as possible candidates for an exit from the ACC. Am I missing something? Why worry about an exit fee if FSU and UMD are staying put? Is a UMD move to the Big Ten still possible?
