Or to spite Don Brown.
Or, and this is a pretty radical one I know, win it for Maryland, so they'll be 3-0 heading into West Virginia. Last time the Terrapins won their first three games, they went to the Orange Bowl. This team won't get close to that even if they top UConn here, but they'll probably be considered a likely bowl team. And that would be huge for the future of the program.
Kicks at 12:30 on these channels or on ESPN3 if you're out of the ACC market. I may or may not be actually able to catch this one, but I'll be around as much as possible.
Random, Baseless Prediction: Wes Brown is Maryland's leading rusher, but Justus Pickett gets the touchdown/s.
Prediction: No result, save for Maryland getting blown out of the water, would surprise me. But because this is the GameThread and the only place I can really let my homer flag fly, I'll be the optimist and say Maryland exposes UConn's defense with a power running game, wins 34-17.
