Sounds like his options are to go JuCo or go A-10 (or similar), though he'd have to pay his own way at the latter option for a year. (Not that it'd be a problem for him.) But unless he's interested in not playing at Maryland and not being on scholarship, he isn't staying here. My feeling about the situation is known by now so I won't go into it again. It sucks, but we (and Sam) didn't get shafted and Maryland should be fine if Dez Wells is eligible. That'll give Maryland plenty of depth on the wings and between Pe', Seth Allen, Aronhalt, and Faust as a last resort, things at the point are fine. If not ... well, I don't think they're a tourney team with Cassell but not Wells anyway.
