Cockerille Impresses at Elite 11

I watched the Elite 11 show last night because I wanted to get a look at Shane Cockerille. I tuned in a little too late, and only saw the part where the team of coaches were putting together their first rankings of the 11 guys in camp. The first few guys didn't have Shane on their short list, but then Trent Dilfer basically said that he needed to have him in the 11. He also noted his accuracy and maturity, which was refreshing because I was afraid that those might have been weaknesses considering running is one ofhis hallmarks. The other coach said something to the effect of "He's a bad dude, and he is absolutely someone that I want to be in the huddle with"

I think we may have found a little bit of a diamond in the rough here. Not ranked very highly when he committed, but I haven't heard a single negative review about the kid. And the fact that he can get into a camp with the other top QB's in his class and show out in these incredibly important areas of the game lead me to believe that the kid is just a winner. Very impressed and looking forward to getting him here. I think he could really do a lot of good as a QB here.
