One year into Rockin Randy's tenure and things are bumpy, but we're headed in the right direction with recruiting. While I don't wanna second guess the pick a year ago, well get to see this year what could have been. Mike Leach starts his tenure as offensive coordinator for Washington State and got a nice writeup in USA Today.
Having trouble attaching the article from my phone, but here are a few things it says the article points out:
- Leach has missed a bowl game just once in 21 years
- Washington State sold an additional 3,200 season tickets this offseason
- Suites have gone from $30 to $50k for a game because of demand since Leach's hiring
- Washington State expects to sell out every game this season. They have never sold out a football game before.
So while I hope for the best for Randy and the team this season, a little part of me will be checking the box scores to wonder what could have been.
